Men's baggy jeans in two families, Maxx and Anti K, across raw selvedge, cargo and blackout washes. Loose through the leg without losing the line. LOADED DENIM ++
Maxx Or Anti K
Baggy at Ksubi runs through two silhouettes, and knowing which one you are looking at saves most of the work on this page.
Maxx is the fuller of the two, carrying width from the thigh all the way down, and it is where the cargo variants live: the Fugitive Cargo in Worn Black and Kammo, plus Selvedge Raw Blue, Astral Kraftwerk, Krystal Paise and Raw Idols. Anti K runs baggy with a straighter line and a cleaner finish, in Blackout, Punk Blue, Noir and Selvedge Raw Blue.
One is volume with utility attached. The other is volume with the detail stripped out. Both are cut to hold their shape rather than simply sit big, which is the difference between a baggy jean and an oversized one.
The washes worth knowing on this page:
- Selvedge Raw Blue, untreated, in both Maxx and Anti K, for anyone who wants to put the fade in themselves
- Blackout and Noir, the flat blacks, where a baggy leg reads sharpest
- Fugitive Cargo, Maxx with pockets added, in Worn Black and Kammo, the utility end of the range
- Astral Kraftwerk and Raw Idols, the developed washes, where the finish is doing the talking
Choose the family, then choose the finish.
Wearing The Volume
A baggy jean is a proportion decision more than a size one. The leg is doing a lot, so whatever goes on top usually has to do less, which is why these sit so naturally under a plain tee and awkwardly under something equally loud.
Take your usual waist. The volume is cut into the leg at every size, and going up a size to get baggier moves the waist off your hip and drops the crotch further than the pattern intended.
Shoes decide the hem. A heavier sole gives the leg something to stack on, which is how these are cut to be worn; a low profile shoe wants a shorter break or a cuff.
If the full baggy leg is more than you want, the straight leg jeans are the middle ground, and the whole men's denim range carries every shape between them.
